Funeral services for Yang Lim Yi, 86, of Junction City will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street with Pastor Chun Yong Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, January 29, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Yang passed away January 26, 2010 at Geary Community Hospital.
Yang was born November 14, 1923 in Seoul Korea. She married Tae San Yi in 1940 he preceded her in death in 1993. She was a homemaker.
She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, extraordinary Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who cherished her family and friends. She was a resident of Junction City for over 30 years, and was loved by the Korean community.
Survivors include two sons, Kon Cha Yi of CA, Chul Su Yi of Topeka, one daughter, Ok Su Campagnone and husband Louis of Junction City; A niece Yo Sun Romero of Tacoma, WA; four grandchildren, Jerry Cooper, Dianne Rankin, Lisa Yi and Linda Yi and nine great-grandchildren.
