Wyndel R. Price, 86, of Junction City, KS, formerly of Borger, TX. and Great Bend, KS, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Junction City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Biblical Apostolic Church in Borger, TX. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger, TX.
Wyndel was born August 27, 1935, in Wetumka, OK the son of Lloyd B. and Reba E. (Frye) Price.
Wyndel graduated from Phillips High School in Phillips, TX. He later attended and graduated from Frank Phillips College. After college graduation he entered the United States Naval Reserve having served eight years. Wyndel had a thirty five year career with Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America. He retired in 1990 at the age of 55. Wyndel served on the Great Bend City Commission while he lived there. He enjoyed spending time with family.
He married Dorislene Tilson January 24, 1959, in Dumas, TX.
Survivors include his wife Dorislene of the home; one son, A. Brent Price (Jody) of Wamego, KS; one daughter, Beverly G. Temaat (Ron) of Spearville, KS; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Courtney, Rebecca and husband Grant Miller and Brittney; three great-grandchildren, Reese, Caio and Henry; five brothers, Donnie (Julia), Dale (Helen), Sam (Marietta), James (Jonna) and Mark (Debbie); one brother-in-law Kenneth Floyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Floyd.
