Wilma Jean Richardson, 84, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home in Junction City, KS. Cremation has taken place. No memorial service is planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Geary Community Healthcare Foundation P.O. Box 3015 Junction City, KS 66441.

Wilma was born December 4, 1936, in Beatrice, NE, the daughter of Steve and Alice (Abbott) Bump.

Wilma was raised in Hill City, KS where she graduated from high school. She later moved to Salina, KS where she attended and graduated from Brown Mackie College. After graduating from college, she moved to Junction City, KS where she went to work at Fort Riley as a Civil Servant.

As a civil servant, she worked at Fort Riley, KS, Schofield Barracks at Oahu, HA, Keesler Air Force Base at Ocean Springsm MS and Wharton Barracks at Heilbronn, Germany.

Wilma worked as a Pink Lady at Geary Community Hospital for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing games, working puzzles and spending time with her family. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a teenager. Throughout her life, she always enjoyed attending church.

In 1954, she married Galen Gano in Hill City, KS. He passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. While working at Fort Riley in 1967, she met Billy Richardson on an elevator. They later married in 1968.

Survivors include her husband Billy of the home in Junction City, KS; four sons, Gregory A. Richardson and his wife Gina of Tulsa, OK, Timothy D. Richardson and his partner Gino Palermo of Wilton Manor, FL, Billy G. Richardson and his partner of St. Michael's, MD and Jason Richardson of MS; two daughters, Ginger J. Delker and her husband Bill of Cotopaxi, CO and Patricia G. Felts of Abilene, KS; two brothers, Jerry Bump of Hays, KS and Bill Bump of Lawrence, KS; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; one brother, Wayne Bump and one son, Nicholas Craig Gano.
