Wilma L. Bowman

Funeral services for Wilma L. Bowman, 88, will be 3:00pm Monday, January 12, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel with Pastor Matt Christensen officiating, Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Wilma was born November 28, 1920 in rural Junction City, KS. She passed away January 10, 2009 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline. Prior to retirement she was employed at Wardrobe Cleaners and was active in BPW for a number of years.. Her husband Clarence "Mont" Bowman died in 1969. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Mary Biegert and Roy Shane; a brother, Milton Shane; two Sisters, Viola Heintz and Helen Hayes; and a niece, Karen Hayes. She is survived by two nieces: Julie Hayes of Topeka, Ks and Becky Hayes of Seattle, Wa. Wilma was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a lover of life. She will be dearly missed by all.
