Willis A. Duncan, 91, Junction City, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 under hospice care at Valley View Senior Life in Junction City. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenton Van officiating. A graveside service will follow the memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Milford Cemetery with full military honors. Cremation has taken place. Box 3015 Junction City, KS. 66441.
Mr. Duncan was born October 20, 1919, in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of William T. and Lena B. (Dingler) Duncan.
Willis served in the United States Army during W.W. II. He retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. After retirement he worked for the United States Postal Service in Rapid City, South Dakota. After retiring from the Postal Service he relocated to Junction City, Kansas and farmed in the Humboldt Creek Community. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Junction City. Willis was an amateur radio operator and enjoyed woodworking, playing golf and playing bridge.
He married Eilene C. Jeffries Barron October 21, 2002. She survives.
Other survivors include two step children, Jack Barron, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa and Debbra Barron of Geneva, Illinois. He is also survived by three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren and one niece Judy Murrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen Duncan, one brother and one sister.
