Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, Junction City, Kansas for Willie B. McNair, Sr., 66, of Junction City with Elder William Ocean officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Junction City with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM - 8:00PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mr. McNair was born April 26, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Theodore and Luella (Oliver) McNair. He lived in Junction City for most of his life. He married Gertrude Wanda Friese on August 5, 1961, in Germany. She survives of the home.
Mr. McNair was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the United States Army for 21 years before retiring. He later worked for AAFES for 25 years before his second retirement. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8773.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Theodore McNair, Jr., and 1 granddaughter, Victoria McNair-Miles.
He is also survived by one brother, Frankie McNair of Detroit, MI, 2 sons, Jesse J. McNair, of Junction City and Willie B. McNair, Jr. of Solomon, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
