Willie Cleveland (Richard) Proutt, 64, went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2008. Willie Cleveland was a deacon at the Second Missionary Baptist Church.
Memorial Services will be held at the Second Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leonard Gray officiating. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Deacon Proutt was born on December 24, 1943, in Midway, Texas. He served in the United States Army, moving to Junction City as part of an assignment, where he met and married Marie Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Proutt, Sons; James (Susan); Cleveland (Jeannie); Juan (Debra); Roland; Daughters: Virginia (Earl); Grandchildren, Crayshawn Proutt; others: Phoebe, Elaina, Eli and Roland Jr: Earl, Chris, Michelle and Denise. Brothers: Jimmy, John, Willie James and Roger (Margie). Sisters: Lillian (Melvin), Mary, Linda (Teddi), and a lot of others.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions and/or donations be made to the family.
