Graveside services for William "Bill" R. Zellner, 93, of Junction City, KS will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Russ Glaser officiating. Mr. Zellner passed away at Geary Community Hospital on August 21, 2007. Memorial contributions may be given to the Zion United Church of Christ, 1811 McFarland Road, Junction City, KS 66441.
Mr. Zellner was born April 15, 1914, Junction City, KS to Edward D. and Eleanor (Roth) Zellner. He was a graduate of Junction City High School. He was in the Navy and served in WWII. Mr. Zellner worked for Civil Service at Fort Riley as a Transportation Supervisor for 34 years, retiring in 1969. He was a lifetime resident of Junction City and was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. He married Blanche F.E. Koerner on August 8, 1934, Manhattan, KS she preceded him in death December 25, 2004.
He is survived by only daughter; Karen Cyphers of Junction City and two granddaughters, one grandson, two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson, two great-great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and three brothers.
