William E. "Billy" Harwell, 76, of Junction City, Kansas died on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Valley View Senior Life Center in Junction City, Kansas.
William was born on May 9, 1947, Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Dorothy Wilson.
William has lived in Junction City, Kansas the past four years. He moved here from Waterloo, Iowa. William spent most of his life working in the laundry service industry. He was a deacon of a church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He married Deborah. They were later divorced.
William is survived by his loving mother Dorothy Gilbert of Junction City, Kansas; two sons, one sister, Deborah L. Jones and husband Samrie of Junction City, KS; two brothers, Ronald Gilbert and wife Norma of Indianapolis, Indiana and Reginald Gilbert of Lansing, Kansas; some grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Harwell, Duane Gilbert and one sister, Holly Michelle Gilbert.
William will be cremated. A private family remembrance service will be conducted at Johnson Funeral Home. Bishop William Ocean will officiate this private ceremony. His cremated remains will be buried at Highland Cemetery in Junction City, Kansas.
