William F. "Biff" Fox, 72, of Junction City, died July 26, 2016 at Geary Community Hospital. Biff was born Dec. 16, 1943 in Roanoke, Virginia, the son of Bruce F. and Besse L. Fox. Since his father was in the U.S. Air Force, the family lived in several states while Biff was growing up. He attended school in Alabama, and later graduated from high school in Littleton, Colo.
After high school, Biff joined the United States Air Force, and served 2 tours during the Vietnam War.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Biff returned to college and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Forestry. After college he worked for the Personnel Dept. at Yellowstone National Park, retiring as the Personnel Director. He later moved to Junction City, and was a civilian employee on Ft. Riley.
Biff is survived by his mother, Besse L. Fox; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Fox, both of Aurora, Colo., Evanna Bowen, Phoenix, AZ, and Martha Gwen Fox, Denver, Colo.; and his St. Bernard kids, Bullwinkle, Rocky, Boris, and Natasha.
Cremation has taken place, and an informal Memorial Rememberance Service will be held at the McDonald's on S. Washington St. in Junction City at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016. Memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of Animals.
