Services for Wilbur R. (Bill)Coleman, 82, of Junction City, KS will be held at the First Baptist Church on Wed., Feb. 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Wilbur died February 13, 2003 at Geary Community Hospital, Junction City, KS. Visitation will be Tues.,Feb. 18, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be at Fort Riley Cemetery, Fort Riley, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 624 N. Jefferson, Junction City, KS 66441 and/or American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-9865. Wilbur was born on March 31, 1920 in Denison, Kansas to Loyd and Flossie Renfro Coleman. He graduated from Denison High School. He married Dorothy J. Eastwood on December 22, 1949 in McKinney, Virginia. She
survives. Wilbur retired from the Army as a Major in January 1961. While in the Army he had fought in WWII and the Korean War, he also worked in Junction City as a carpenter until 1970, He then took up locksmithing and just retired recently. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Junction City, KS.

Coleman, Junction City, KS.; One Son: Ed Coleman, Junction City; Two Daughters: Wanda Coleman, Junction City and Donna Coleman, Wichita; One Brother: Dallas Coleman, Denison, KS.; Three Sisters: Shirley Jensen, Larkinburg, KS.,Marjorie Todd, Effingham, KS., Elsie Fitzgerald, Spring Hill, KS. Seven Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Parents, Brother: Everett Coleman and One Son: Stephen Eric Coleman.
Pallbearers: Jerald Jenson, Bradley Jenson, David Todd, Gary Fitzgerald, Adam Watson and Rickey Shadix. Honorary Pallbearers: Thomas R. Clark, Steve Pinkerton, Bill Ross, Fred Meyer, Ted Burnett and Ron Jones. Organist will be Florence Whitebread and Vocalist will be Gail Dye.
