Wayne D. Shull, 81, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at his home in Junction City. Cremation will take place. A graveside service with full military honors will take place at a later date.
Wayne was born November 22, 1940, in Oklahoma City, OK the son of Raymond and Frances (Reese) Shull.
Wayne served over twenty five years in the United States Army. He courageously fought two tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Japan and other countries. After his military career, he worked as a contractor and civil servant at Fort Riley. He enjoyed playing bingo and watching people. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Fraternal Order of the Eagle's.
On April 23, 1983, he married Barbara Plume. They began their life journey together including several trips traveling on a motorcycle across the United States.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home in Junction City, KS; one son, James Scott of Junction City, KS; one brother, Johnny Shull of Pawhuska, OK; two sisters, Gracie Jophlin of Kansas City, MO and Edna Joe Gray of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, James B. Scott and Andrew F. Scott and four great-grandchildren,
