Wayne Lee Bennett, 32, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Junction City, KS, passed April 8, 2020. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. A private family gathering will be held with a public Celebration of Life planned for a later date.
He was born on February 5, 1988, in Junction City, Kansas to Richard and Tina (Bennett) Twiggs. He grew up in Junction City and graduated from Junction City High School class of 2006. After high school, he worked as a chef and then a heavy equipment operator. He ultimately settled in Greenville, South Carolina.
Wayne was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved to fish for catfish.
Wayne is survived by his loving family: his mother Tina Bennett if Junction City, KS; his father Richard Twiggs of Troy AL; mentor and father figure Richard Palmer of Junction City, KS; one son, Tyler Ray Vance Bennett-Clark; two daughters, Kaydence Americus Nacole Bennett-Clark and Haylee Mariah Bennett-Clark; two brothers, Kyle Leigh Twiggs of Longford, KS and Sean Steven Twiggs of Troy, AL; one sister, Rita Marie Curry of Junction City, KS; his Grandfather, Raymond Bennett of Junction City, KS; his fiancé Metta Pridmore and her three daughters of Greenville, SC; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Marie Bennett, and paternal grandparents, Douglas Lee and Stella Mae Twiggs.
