Services for Walter Wayne Glessner, 81,of Junction City will be held at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, Thursday, April 3, 2003,10:00 a.m. Pastor Brad Dyrness of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Walter died March 30, 2003 at Valley View Professional Care Center.Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2003, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. North Canton, OH 44720. Walter was born April 2, 1921, Liberty Township, Dwight, KS to August and Fern (Ester) Glessner. He married Celia McDiffett, December 21, 1941, Junction City, KS, she survives of the home. Walter served in the US Air Force during WWII as a CPL E-4. He had been a resident of Junction City, KS since 1980, he worked for the Geary County Highway Department as a Equipment Operator, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion (Alta Vista) Survivors: Three Sons; Donald Glessner of Dwight, KS, Robert Glessner of Junction City,KS and James Glessner of Shawnee, KS, Four Daughters; Judy Strauss and Eva Hassler both of Junction City, KS, Mary Nicholson of Grandview Plaza, KS and Karen Gould of Manhattan, KS, One Brother; Edgar Glessner of Junction City, KS, Two Sisters; Iris Rogers of Junction City, KS and Marietta Warneke of Council Grove, KS, Ten Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.
