A visitation for Vonicle P. King, 70, Junction City will be 6 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel 805 Caroline Ave. Mrs. King passed away Wednesday, November 3,2010, at the Stoneybrook Retirement Community in Manhattan, Kansas. Cremation will follow the memorial service.
Vonicle was born January 27, 1939, in Greenville, Alabama the daughter of Zell and Lillie Mae Peterson. Vonicle has lived in Junction City since 1996.
Voncile worked in the environmental services industry with various healthcare organizations.
She married Willie Charles King. He passed away.
Survivors include one son, Clyde E. King of Augusta, GA. and two daughters, Frances D. Dean and Wanda G. Foster both of Junction City, KS. She is also survived by two special friends Joseph Denmark and Paula Jones; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Willie C. King and Marvin G. King. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
