(Nina) Vivian Lucile Davidson, 95 passed away March 11, 2003 at Manor Care in Topeka, Kansas.
She was born September 11, 1907 near Wakefield, Kansas to Fred Eli and Nina Evelyn Parker Towle. She moved with her family into the village of Wakefield before she started to school.
She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1925 and attended Kansas State University.
She taught school at Sunny Slope near Wakefield, the same grammar school her father attended as a child.
She was married to Oreno Baker Davidson on February 15, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. He died September 12, 1963, a son, Loren Ronald Davidson, preceded her in death on February 27, 2003.
Vivian and Oreno lived in Wakefield until 1932 where they moved to Junction City, Kansas. She made her home there most of her adult life. She lived for a short time with her son in Waco, Texas and then moved to Topeka in 2001.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Junction City, the Senior Sunday School group and the Tuesday morning Bible Study group. She had been a member of the Kansas Society of May flower descendant and the Topeka chapter of DAR.
She is survived by a son, Cecil Ray Davidson of Waco, Texas and a daughter Charlene May Towsley of Topeka, Kansas. Six grandchildren, a sister Mable Watson resides in Brookville, Florida and a sister-in-law, Marge Towle resides in McPherson, KS.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel with the burial at the Liberty Cemetery in Upland, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2003 at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. Reverend Dr. Patty Brown-Barnett of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Donor's Choice.
