Funeral services for Virginia "Ginger" A. Pendergrass, 71, Junction City, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the First Southern Baptist Church. Pastor Nathan Butler will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Pendergrass passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to First Southern Baptist Church 1220 W. 8th Street Junction City, Kansas 66441. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with service arrangements.
Ginger was born September 1, 1936, at Bozeman, Montana the daughter of Roy L. and Alice E. (Cox) Hanson.
Ginger was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Junction City, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband Robert O. Pendergrass; one son, Lawrence R. Pendergrass of Junction City, KS. and two daughters, Theressa A. Pendergrass of Junction City, KS. and Cynthia S. Casebeer of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by one brother, Ricky L. Hanson of Junction City, KS; one neice Kimberly A Bulin of Hereford, TX; one nephew, Robert E. Taylor of Olathe, KS. and three grandchildren, Adam Tate of Topeka, KS, Joshua Tate of Eugene OR. and Ruth A. Cotton of Oakland, CA. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Shelby Tate.
