Virginia L. Hamilton, 78, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014.
Virginia was born in Pratt, Kansas on October 27, 1935. She attended Cullison Grade School and High School. Following graduation in 1953, Virginia entered Wesley Hospital School for
X-ray Technicians in Wichita.
In 1955, Virginia married Don E. Hamilton in a double wedding ceremony with her sister at the Methodist Church in Pratt, and later moved to Junction City. During her career, she worked at the Minnick Clinic, Irwin Army Hospital, and Geary Community Hospital. The couple moved to a farm north of Chapman in 1963 where they raised wheat and cattle. In 1991, they returned to Junction City. Virginia retired from working at the Geary Community Hospital in the mid-1990s.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Bertain Yancy Bryant and Bertha Cantrell Bryant; and siblings, Elbert Bryant, Deane Bryant, Raymond Bryant and Donald Bryant.
Survivors include: sister Betty Lou Bryant Barker; daughter, Rebecca (Tim) Hall of Wichita; son, Donald (Patricia) Hamilton of Silver Lake; grandchildren Sarah, Elizabeth, Alex, Chance and Chase; and great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Clint.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 30, at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in South Haven, Kansas, at 3:00 pm Wednesday.
