Virginia Knudson

A graveside inurnment service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at the Dwight Cemetery for Virginia H. Knudson, 76, Dwight, Kansas. Reverend Sue Ann Seels will officiate. Mrs. Knudson passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007, in Junction City, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.

Virginia was born March 20, 1931, the daughter of John and Vinnie Alvina (Teas) Arnett.

Virginia was a dental assistant for many years. She worked for Dr. George Grammer until his retirement. Later she worked for Dr. Larry Slaten until she retired to take care of her husband.

She married Paul F. Knudson October 23, 1948. He passed away November 23, 1998.

Survivors include one daughter Pat Rondash of Topeka, Kansas and two sons, Mike Knudson of rural Abilene, Kansas and Randy Knudson of Junction City, Kansas. She is also survived by three sisters, Laverne Allen of Junction City, Kansas and Maxine Cowdin and Shirley Hoch both of Dwight, Kansas. She is survived by nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Calvin, Jim and Eugene Arnett. She was also preceded in death by one sister Etta Iams.
