Virginia B. Fiddler, 92, Junction City, KS passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the Leonardville Nursing Home in Leonardville, KS. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Laurie Barnes officiating. Visitation will be held, Thursdays, December 13, 2012, 6 - 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. Burial will follow the funeral service at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church , 804 N. Jefferson Street Junction City, KS 66441.
Virginia B. Fiddler was born March 1, 1920, the daughter of Henry and Sara (Jones) Bauman. She has resided in Junction City since 1951.
Virginia was the co-owner of the Kansas Typewriter Company for many years. Virginia was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Junction City. She also belonged to the Pilot Club, Zeta Fi Sorority and was a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts.
She married George R. Fiddler December 28, 1940, in Yuma, AZ he passed away February 1, 1990.
Other survivors include one son, Gary Fiddler of Lake Waukomis, MO and one daughter, Deana Fiddler of Wheat Ridge, CO. She is also survived by one brother, Bill Foddy and his wife Elly of Iowa, two grandsons, two great granddaughters and two great-great grandchildren.
