Funeral services for Verlin L. Tarver, 46, Junction City, KS will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2007 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 701 West 10th, Junction City with Pastor Leonard Gray and Rev. Audrey Toombs officiating. Burial will follow at Highland. Mr. Tarver passed away September 24, 2007 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made in Verlin's name and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

He was born October 9, 1960 in Junction City to Verlin and Mae Ola (Purdie) Tarver.

Verlin was a graduate of Junction City Senior High. He enjoyed fishing and cooking. In one of his last messages he wrote "Enjoy life and each other".
He is survived by his wife Kerstin Waldo Tarver of the home, father Verlin Tarver, his children: Tiffany Patterson, Natalie Waldo and Erica Geiger all of Junction City, Anthony Waldo of Salina, his sisters; Virgie Purdie Autman of Columbia, SC and Ola Purdie Womack of Junction City; and brother Larry Tarver of Grand Rapids, NE and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and grandmother Aseoler Henderson
