Graveside services for Verleen Holt (Gibson), 57, of Junction City will be Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11a.m. at Highland cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Mrs. Holt passed away at her residence on June 5, 2008. Memorials may be given to the Verleen Holt memorial fund.
Mrs. Holt was born July 14, 1950, Junction City, KS to Lonnie D. and Bernice C. (Davis) Gibson, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Holt was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend. She would give you the world. She had a great sense of humor and was greatly liked by the community.
She is survived by her three children; Tammy Everett of Nashville, TN, Timmy Tyson, Sr. and Calvin Tyson both of Junction City, KS, three brothers, Leon Gibson of Manhattan, KS, Lonnie Bell of Junction City, KS and Leonard Gibson of Topeka, KS, a sister; Jodie Lee Carr of Pine Bluff, AR, nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Devoted longtime love and friend Richard Smith and a host of loving friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Pearline Jones and Sharon Bell and nephew Clyde Donell Jones.
