A Mass of Christian Burial for Vera Mary Frohn, 99 of White City, KS will be held 10 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2008 at St. Xavier's Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Voelker and Father Al Brungardt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. with vigil service at 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS. Mrs. Frohn passed away on March 18, 2008 at Council Grove Healthcare Center. Memorial contributions may be given to the Council Grove Healthcare Center, 400 Sunset Drive, Council Grove, KS 66846.
Mrs. Frohn was born August 20, 1908 near Skiddy, KS to James A. and Barbara M. (Kamm) Larkin. She attended grade school in Skiddy and graduated from Herington High School in 1926. She was united in marriage to Frank Frohn on September 13, 1930. They celebrated sixty one years of marriage before his death September 22, 1991. She was a farm wife and homemaker. Her many hobbies included quilting, crocheting and working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Venburg and husband Don of Shelby Township, MI, two granddaughters, Gail Kriske and husband Tim of Plano, TX, Shannon Isaacson and husband Rich of Rochester, MI and five great-grandchildren; Jack, Will, Katherine, John and Joe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Syl Larking and a sister, Vinita Stenstrom.
