Services for Vearlen M. Beer, 88, of Junction City will be Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 10 :00AM at the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Brad Dyrness officiating.
Visitation will be 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday December 21, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Church Of The Nazarene, 1315 West Ash Street, Junction City, KS or Friends Of The Animals PO Box 580, Junction City, KS.
Mrs. Beer was born November 7, 1916 in Russellville, Arkansas to Warner O. and Sarah Ann (Procter) Mitchell. Mrs. Beer lived most of her adult life in Junction City. She worked for local bakeries until 1958 she then worked for local school systems in the Dietary Department as a cook until 1987. She married Clyde A. Beer July 27, 1933 in Junction City, KS he preceded her in death in 1970. Mrs. Beer was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by three sisters, Virginia Schorling, Mary LaMont ,and Dorothy Dean, all of Junction city, KS and one brother, Bowen Mitchell of San Leandro, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jim Utech, Darrell Rothfuss, Doyle Rushing, Brian Murrison, Brad Angell and Mike Whitten.
