Valoaga M. Valoaga

June 22, 1953 — May 30, 2021

SSG (RET) Valoaga M. Valoaga, 67, of Milford, KS, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, at the Johnson Funeral Home. A visitation will follow the funeral home until 5 p.m. A graveside service with military honors will take place 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.

Valoaga was born June 22, 1953, in Atu'u American Samoa the son of Valoaga and Fa'atele (Maiava) Moliga.

Valoaga retired from the United States Army in 1994. After his retirement, he went to work for Junction City Wire Harness. Later, he joined Tyson Food Company. He joined their fishing boat in Alaska where he fished for three years. After working on the fishing boat, he came home to Junction City and became a Civil Servant working for the Commissary and Irwin Army Community Hospital. He retired from Irwin Army Hospital in 2006.

He married Fuata'i Uga'itafa January 8, 1979 in Tacoma, WA.

Survivors include his loving wife Fuata'i of the home in Milford; two sons, Daniel Valoaga and his wife Maribel of Camp Humphreys South Korea and Timothy Valoaga of Milford, KS; four daughters, Rebecca Remengesau and husband Kedelaol of Junction City, KS, Marybeth Valoaga and husband Uluaki of Salt Lake City, UT, Celestine Thompson and husband Keith of Washington, DC and Fuarosa Valoaga of San Diego, CA; six brothers, So'oletala, Silia, Selesa, Sianua, Enesi and Amoamo; four sisters, Eline, Sa'o, Toa'lua and Diana; twelve grandchildren, Tanielu, Troy, Honora, Halana, Matai, Tyger, Veronika, Faith, Junior, Uriah, Talia, and Mila;

Valoaga was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lene Valoaga; four brothers, Fotu, Valoaga, Mane and Lotu'aufa'i.
