Tracy Devain Snipes

December 31, 1965 — November 14, 2021

Tracy D. Snipes, 55, of Junction City, KS passed away on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021, 5pm to 7pm at Johnson Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the New Church of the Living God with Bishop James E. Johnson officiating. Cremation will follow the services.

Tracy was born December 31st, 1965 in Madison, County in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of Louis T. and Margaret Marie (Smith) Snipes.

Tracy worked for USD 475 from 1985 - 2004. Tracy held personnel positions in USD 475 such as a custodian (1985-1991), mail delivery (1991-2001), and computer technician (2001-2004). In 2004 Tracy moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He worked for A to Z Equipment from June 2004-June 2019. He then worked for SFT Dump Truck from June 2019 to December 2020. Tracy later worked for Transformers Dump Truck Company from January 2021 to November 2021.

Tracy loved his family and would do anything for anyone like his dad. He had a love for music, driving, and export automobiles. Over the years, he owned several Honda and Nissan automobiles and he had a dedication to his dogs.

On July 7th, 1991, he married Angelica J. Griffith in Junction City, Kansas. Over the years they have raised several fur babies: Momma Zoey, Pappa Varack, Twins; Suga and Little Bittie.

Survivors include his wife Angelica Snipes of the home in Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Willie T. (Mary) Snipes of Junction City, KS; Gregory D. Snipes of Goodyear, Phoenix; and one sister Wilma Miles of Atwood, TN; two nieces, Chelsey Kyle of San Diego, CA, Shemika Snipes of Junction City, KS; three nephews, Travis Snipes of Junction City, KS; Dexter Jones and Dominic Jones both of Atwood, TN; and a host of other relatives.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Louis T. Snipes, uncle, Tee Snipes, Jr., four aunts, Johnnie Mae Daniel, Lidy Bell Snipes, Lizzie Mae Chism, Pearlie Mae Love, and his nephew, Felix Andre Snipes.
