Tina Webb, 75, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. A private graveside service will take place at Highland Cemetery with Reverend Rex Matney officiating.
Tina was born in Bad Tölz Germany on June 15, 1945, a beautiful town in Bavaria that she spoke of often. She was a loving daughter of her beloved mother, Anna Stephan. Tina had 5 siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Tina married the love of her life SFC Francis R. Webb, who preceded her in death in 1979. One of Tina's favorite things to do was share her love story about Frank to family and friends. She was immensely proud of her husband. She was honored to be a military wife to a war hero and always shared endearing memories of her life with Frank. When asked why she never remarried she would reply "I had the best husband in the world, no man could ever compare to him." https://valor.militarytimes.com/hero/5413
Tina worked at Footlocker in Junction City for over twenty years. Her hobbies and interests were focused around her family. She was a magnificent cook and enjoyed serving homemade German meals, cakes, pastries, and cookies to family and friends. Her favorite hobby was planting beautiful German window box flowers outside of her home and decorating her house in the Bavarian style. Tina made everything beautiful. She enjoyed cross stitching as she listened to festive German music. She was extremely proud of being a homemaker and loving wife. She provided her family with a warm, caring home. Tina's pride and joy were her grandchildren. "Omi" as she was affectionately called, enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals, never missing a single event. She was a vital, active part of raising them. The memories she created will never be forgotten.
Tina was preceded in death by her husband Francis R. Webb, and her son Norbert Webb. She is survived by her daughter Manuela Webb-Mathis and her husband Chris Mathis, and two grandchildren, Madeline Francine Wheeler-Mathis and Nicholas Jerry Mathis.
