Tim Oscar Brott

Tim Oscar Brott, 73, of White City, passed away on July 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and friends. Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

Tim was born on November 8, 1949, to Oscar and Waunetta (Ervin) Brott, Junction City, Kansas. He graduated Junction City High School in 1969. During his high school attendance, he was an excellent pitcher on the Junction City Blue Jays baseball team. He received his letterman's jacket after earning his high school letter for baseball.

After high school, he joined in the Brott Construction family business working in masonry. Working in the family business, he discovered his passion for construction. He turned this passion into his life long career until his retirement.

Tim and Kathy married in 1993, and enjoyed raising their five children.

He is survived by his loving wife; three sons, Kenny (Heather) Brott of White City, Kansas, Todd (Kim) Washburn of Wichita, Kansas, and Troy (Danielle) Washburn of Trophy Club, Texas; two daughters, Angie Brott of Alta Vista, Kansas and Tawnya (Andy) Berlin of Clearwater, Kansas; three sisters, Sheila Marston of Chapman, Kansas, Patricia (Ronald) Bell of Bushton, Kansas, and Rhonda (Skip) Cristobal of Twin Falls, Idaho; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and family.

He was preceded by his parents; one sister, Rita Brott; his paternal grandparents, Haley H. Brott and Georgia (Snow) Brott and his maternal grandparents, George and Sadie (Yorgenson) Ervin.
