Tiahna (Tia) Javon James

Tiahna “Tia” Javon James of Junction City, Kansas was born on May 12, 1997, in Junction City, Kansas to Brian and Monique James. She passed away at the Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus in Junction City, Kansas on March 21, 2025.

She is survived by her parents, Brian and Monique James of Junction City, Kansas, her sister Ila James, and her brother Christian James of Junction City, Kansas. Her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Carolyn Rosser of Reidsville, North Carolina and her paternal grandmother Mrs. Vera James of Blytheville, Arkansas. Her uncle Kerry (Tawanda) Johnson of Columbia, Marland. Her aunt Jacqueline (Jimmy) Davis of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Her aunt Deborah Weaver of Blytheville, Arkansas. A host of other relatives and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandfather, Willie James; paternal grandmother, Ila Thompson James and maternal grandfather, James Rosser; paternal uncle, Thomas Holliday and maternal uncle Kevin Rosser. Her paternal cousins, Erica King and Henry King III.

She graduated from Junction City Senior High School on May 17, 2015. She attended and graduated from Cloud County Community College of Concordia, Kansas on May 13, 2022, where she earned an Associate Degree in General Studies. She was earning a Certificate in Medical Coding and Billing from Barton County Community College of Great Bend, Kansas. She loved playing video games with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes. She loved hanging out with her best friend Amy. She loved to listen to music. She had a love for hair and makeup tutorials and loved having manicures and pedicures done.

She is loved by her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
