Thomas E. "Tom" Woodward, 67, of Junction City, departed this life on September 16th, 2014 at his home.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Junction City.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 19th, 2014, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Tom was born on February 20th, 1947, in Manhattan, Kansas. He attended school in Junction City. He worked in construction, specializing in roofing. However, he was known to all as a "Jack of all trades."
Tom was an avid outdoorsman and had a love for animals and nature. He was known to be very stubborn at times, but had a heart of gold.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Iva Gasswint; a sister, Judy Beck; and a granddaughter, Kylee Bishop.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Shawntel Woodward of the home; Shanna Cannon (Mac) of Ogden, KS; Jacob Woodward of Fort Worth, TX; Kayla Parris (Cody) of Fort Worth, TX; Lisa Gomez (Paul) of Pueblo, CO; Jason Woodward (Irma) of Fort Worth, TX; Cindy Roggenkamp (Joe) of Onaga, KS; and Brenda Woodward-McAfee (Dan) of St. George, KS.
He also leaves behind his siblings, John Gasswint, Dianna Gasswint, Shirley Gasswint, and Patricia Oquist; as well as eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as a multitude of friends and other loved ones.
