Thomas A. Davis, 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away on May 27, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton, KS.
A private family service will be held on Friday, June 3rd in Stroud, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the charitable organization of the donors' choice.
Thomas was born on September 6, 1929, in Liberal, KS, son to Bert and Lucille (Maddix) Davis.
He attend both Medicine Lodge High School in Medicine lodge, KS, and North High School in Wichita, KS. Thomas went on to earn his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice at Wichita State University (WSU).
Thomas joined the Navy after high school at the age of 18 as an Airborne Radio Operator. He then joined the Wichita police department in 1952 and retired as a Lieutenant after 23 years of service. In 1975, after retirement from the police force, he worked as a fraud investigator for First Data Resources and retired from them in 1990.
Thomas and his wife, Mary Ann, became residents of Council Grove, KS, after his retirement in 1990.
Thomas is survived by his loving family: his two sons, Roy T. (R.T.) Davis and wife Renee, of Wichita, KS; Michael W. Davis and wife Velma of Wichita, KS; his three grandchildren Meggan Davis, Whitney Pulen, and Jace Davis; and his beloved dog Princess.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bret and Lucille Davis and his loving wife Mary Ann Davis.
