The family of Ted Murray Hosler, 76, Junction City, KS who passed away February 24, 2006 at Geary Community Hospital, will receive friends and relatives from 6:00-7:30PM Monday, February, 27, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline, Junction City, KS 66441. No formal services will be held. Memorial Contributions may be sent to YMCA 1703 McFarland Road, Junction, City, KS 66441. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Mr. Hosler was born July 6, 1929 in Manhattan, KS the son of Jamie E. and Bernice H. (Johnson) Hosler. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1947 and has lived in Junction City since 1941. Ted served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Hosler Moving and Storage. He was a Life Member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, Eagles, American Legion, served on the board of directors of First State Bank, and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Rolling Meadow Golf Course.
He was married to Nancy Ann Holmes June 12, 1959 in Junction City, KS, she survives at the home.
Other Survivors include: three daughters, Janis Sing, Lisa Brack both of Phoenix, AZ and Lori Roether, Junction City, KS; one brother James Hosler, Junction City, KS,four grandchildren, Elizabeth Brack of Phoenix, AZ, Jerad Sing of Boise, ID, and Zachary Roether and Jeff Roether, both of Junction City, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
