Services for Suzanne Thompson, 70, of Junction City will be Monday, January 26, 10:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Reverend Canon JoAnn Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Suzanne died January 21, 2004 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorial Contributions may be given to Good Samaritan, 416 W. Spruce, Junction City, KS 66441 and/or Episcopal Church of the Covenant, 314 N. Adams, Junction City, KS 66441.
Suzanne was born May 11, 1933, Junction City, to Melvin and Lucillia Mae (Miller) Ziegelasch. Suzanne graduated from Junction City High School in 1951, she then attended University of Kansas. She married Robert D. Thompson November 28, 1954, Junction City, at the Episcopal Church of the Covenant where she was a member. She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution, serving as past Regent, and a member of Chi-Omega at the University of Kansas. She was a lifelong resident of Junction City, she worked as a bookkeeper for JC Office Supplies and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband; Robert of Junction City, mother; Lucilla Mae of Junction City, one son; Kevin R. Thompson of Manhattan, one daughter; Kimberly S. Proksch of Ashdown, AR and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Ziegelasch, one daughter; Dale Ann Hilterbrand
Pallbearers will be Mike Fegan, Jack Pederson, David Tibbits, Chuck Uhlmer, Bob Hilterbrand and Richard Mathes.
