Graveside Services for Suzanne Sjoholm, 74, Junction City, Kansas will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 22, 2008, at the Highland Cemetery 703 West Ash Street in Junction City. Fr. Dale Plummer will officiate. A visitation will be 5 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2008, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City. Mrs. Sjoholm passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at her home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriner's Hospital for Children 2001 S. Lindburgh Blvd. St. Louis, MO. 63131 or to the Junction City Athletic Booster Club c/o the funeral home.
Suzanne was born March 24, 1934, the daughter of John and Hilda (Stuart) Isaacson.
In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Sjoholm along with her husband Don, owned and operated Sjoholm Furniture for many years. She also was a substitute teacher for many years in the Junction City School District.
Suzanne attended Washburn University in Topeka where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1952. Suzanne was very active in Her grandchildren's activities from volunteering at school to cooking team dinners.
Suzanne married Donald Sjoholm February 19, 1956. He passed away November 11, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Marc Sjoholm and his wife Terry of Madison, AL; two daughters, Pam Sjoholm Scott of Topeka, KS. and Susan Sjoholm Kamm and her husband Bobby of Junction City, KS. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jamie, Jenna, Katie, Spenser, Colby, Kelsey and Kori. She is also survived by one great granddaughter Jillian.
