Susie J Kiley
Susie J Kiley, 85, of Manhattan, formerly of Junction City, died Feb. 5th, 2015 at Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan. Susie was born January 1st, 1930 in Taegu, Korea, the daughter of Yong Kun Kim and Kill Yung Sun.
Susie moved to the United States with her husband, who was in the US Army, in 1955 and to Junction City in 1962. Susie was a member of the First Methodist Church in Junction City.
Susie was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She loved to work in her garden outside and past her green thumb down to her children. She had also worked at the Ramada Inn and later managed several rental apartments in the Manhattan and Junction City area.
Susie married Charles L Kiley on March 7th, 1952 in Seoul, Korea. Charles died Sept. 14th, 1970. Survivors include a son Martin Livgren, New Mexico, three daughters, Rosemary Kiley and her husband Ron House, Stilwell KS, Lola Mathewson and her husband Jim, Wamego, KS, Lillian Hutchison and her husband Steve, Lawton, OK, seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Susie was preceded in death by a son, Donald Kiley in 1966, and by her life companion, Carl Burch in 2010.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel in Junction City, with Chaplain Patty Brown-Barnett presiding. Burial will be in Ft. Riley Post Cemetery.
