Susan J. McWilliams, 74, of Solomon, KS, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Garten CountrySide Home in Abilene, KS. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Highland Cemetery in Junction City. Reverend Rex Matney will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to Hospice of Dickinson County.
Susan was born October 7, 1942, at Fort Benning, GA. the daughter of Donald C. and Rachel J. (Gillespie) McWilliams. She has lived in the Junction City Community most of her life.
Susan graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 1960. She retired from the Geary County Sheriff's Department after many years of service as a Clerk.
Susan is survived by her children, COL (Ret) Brent York, of Tampa, FL, Melissa Nelson, of Solomon, KS, her sister Sally Walker of Branson, MO, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
