Susan J. Gabbard, 57, of Junction City, KS, passed away on December 8, 2016 at her home. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Friends of Animals, P.O. Box 580, Junction City, KS 66441.
She was born on April 2, 1959, in Junction City, KS, the daughter of William and Harriet (Leathers) Ogden.
Susan worked as a Bookkeeper for Geary County. She was just recognized for over thirty years of service. She spent a lot of time knitting and crocheting. She loved her dogs and grandchildren.
She married Scottie Gabbard December 29, 1996.
Susan is survived by her Husband, Scottie of Junction City, KS, her Daughter, Jessica Klitzke and husband Luke of LaPlata, NM; Son, Matthew Ruiz and wife Tiffany of LaPlata, NM; her step-son, Denny Gabbard; seven grandchildren, Eriq, Caleb, Alexis, Cameron, Kaden, Cailey and Kaira; one sister, Joni Braden of Manhattan, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Danny.
