A funeral service will be at 11a.m. Friday, January 9, 2008, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel for Suk-Ja Jackson, 79, Junction City, Kansas. Father Al Brungardt from St.Xavier's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Medical Lodge Post Acute Care Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave. Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
Suk-Ja was born July 23, 1929, in Seoul South Korea the daughter of Soon Hyon Kang and Bok Dong Kim.
Suk-Ja worked in housekeeping at Geary Community Hospital and was a custodian for U.S.D. #475. She was a great animal lover.
Survivors include her daughter Teresa Jackson of Merriam, Kansas and one granddaughter Naomi Hadassa Gorelick of Merriam, Kansas.
