Steven W. Roe, 74, of Wakefield, KS, passed away on April 16, 2018. Cremation is planned. Private family services will be held at a later date.

He was born on December 7, 1943, in Union, New York to Maurice and Josephine (Adams) Roe. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he was a Gunner's Mate for many years. He later transitioned into the United States Army and retired after many years of proud service. On December 9, 1968 he married Dorothy. They traveled and lived in many places all over the United States, but ultimately retired in Wakefield, Kansas.

He was a family man, loving husband, dedicated father, and adoring grandfather. Steven loved animals, especially his dogs, Bootsy and Haley.

Steven is survived by his Two Sons, William (Mary) Baker of Godfrey, IL and Kenneth Baker of Clay Center, KS; Grandson William (Danielle) Baker of Alton, IL; Brother, Maurice Roe Jr. of Schenevus, NY; and Sister, Beatrice (Trig) Stout of Palm City, FL.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Dorothy Roe; Father, Maurice Roe; Mother, Josephine Roe; two Sons, Walter and Daniel; Daughter, Leeann; and Brother, Richard Roe.

Dove Cremation & Funeral Service of Junction City, KS is assisting the family with arrangements.
