Steven Walter "Steve" Pringle, 65, of Junction City, Kansas died on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas.
Steven has been cremated. A graveside service with military honors will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service for a reception at the American Legion Post #45 in Junction City, Kansas.
Steve was born February 13, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Florida the son of Robert and Shirley Ann (Kukucka) Gustafson.
Steven attended the Norwich Free Academy. After attending the academy, Steve served in the United States Army. He served in the Gulf War. He was honorably discharged as an E-5. He owned and operated Master Cut Lawn Care in Junction City for many years. Steve had a servants heart and spent many hours volunteering in the Junction City Community.
He was a member of American Legion Post #45 in Junction City and volunteering with the POW-MIA Agency. Steve enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
On June 21, 1986, he married Karin M. Mueller in Norwich, Connecticut.
Survivors include his wife Karin of Junction City, Kansas; his father Robert Gusafson and his step-mother Marilyn; one son, Michael A. Mueller and his wife Heather of Junction City, Kansas; one daughter, Nadine Malkmus and husband Telly of Junction City, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Niasha, Alize, Ricky, Katherine, Alyssa, Nicole and Dakota; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Pringle and his wife Sylvia and Gary Gustafson and his wife Grace; two sisters, Stacey Gualtieri and husband Michael and Janel Couture and her husband Christopher; step-siblings, Robert Gustafson, Jr. and his wife Beatrice; Debra Taylor, Robert Taylor, Jr. and his wife Kathryn; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Gustafson.
