Stephen W. Bennett

Stephen W Bennett, 61, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Missouri Highway 7 near Garden City, MO. His passengers, his mother in law, Jean Pariseau, and his step son, Dakota Engel and friend, Gerald Dittman also died from injuries in the same accident. Stephen has been cremated. A visitation to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date and shared with a visitation for Jean Pariseau. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to David Traylor Zoo 75 Soden Road Emporia, KS 66801

Stephen was born April 5, 1960, in Verdun, France the son of John Harry and Arlene Doris (Elmore) Bennett.

Stephen worked for the Junction City Parks and Recreation Commission for twenty five years. After his retirement, he went to work for Geary Grain Company where he worked in many capacities there.

He married Dawn M.E. (Pariseau - Engel) on July 8, 2017. She passed away November of 2020.

Survivors include three brothers; Donald R. Bennett of Herington, KS, Randall L. Bennett of Phoenix, AZ and John R. Bennett of Olathe, KS; three sisters, Marla J. Stewart and her husband John of Homosassa, FL, Susan J. Bond of Junction City and Catherine L. Bennett and her husband Gary Ullmer of Junction City, KS; a host of nephews, nieces and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dawn.
