Stanley "Stan" R. Pearson, 72, of Junction City passed away on August 19, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Estby officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6p.m-8p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions have been designated to the Leukemia Society, Kansas Chapter, 300 N. Main, Ste. 300, Wichita, KS 67202 and the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower, Junction City, KS 66441.
Stan was born January 3, 1940, Junction City, KS to Clifford and Dora (Shane) Pearson. Stan owned and operated Pearson Construction for almost 40 years in Junction City, KS. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elk's Lodge, Eagle's Lodge and the VFW.
He married Roberta Poage December 14, 1985 she survives of the home.
He is also survived by his son Carl Pearson of Junction City, KS, his daughter, Gwen Sayler (Richard) of Dallas, TX, step-daughters, Robin Hensley (Randy) of Cassville, MO, Rene' Krawza of Scottsdale, AZ, Rhonda Case (Jody) of Chillicothe, MO and Rochelle Quibell (Kip) of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers, Wayne Pearson of Junction City, KS and Loren Pearson of Hays, KS, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
