SSG Cameron A. Taylor, Jr. 38, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at K.U. Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church with Pastor Nathan Dudley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery with military honors. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home.
Cameron was born November 28, 1982, in New York, New York the son of Cameron A. Taylor, Sr. and Tracey Dorval.
Cameron graduated from Art and Design High School in New York, New York with the class of 1999. After graduating from high school, he attended Benedict College in South Carolina and later transferred to the University of West Georgia where he met his wife Antonia. They married September 5, 2008. He later joined the United States Army. His career in the military took him to many different duty stations including Fort Knox, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell and Fort Riley. While stationed at Fort Riley, he was a member of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church.
Survivors include his wife Antonia of the home in Junction City; two sons, Darius Issac Taylor and Jacob Isaiah Kemar Taylor; one daughter, Hope Olivia Taylor; his mother, Tracey Dorval of New York, New York; half-sister Niema Taylor of Junction City, KS; host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal and maternal grandparents.
