Sidney Glessner

Sidney "Sid" Ross Glessner, 49, of Junction City, passed away Nov. 29, 2003 in Junction City. Visitation is set for Wed., Dec. 3, 2003, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Funeral service will be Thurs., Dec. 4, 2003, 3:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Pastor G. Edmond Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Junction City.

Sidney was born Aug. 2, 1954, in Junction City, son of Arnold and Shirley (Shane) Glessner. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1972. Sidney worked at the Daily Union for 18 1/2 years. After that, he was a Bindery Manager at Ag Press in Manhattan. Sidney married Debbie Martinez on June 16, 1979 in Junction City.

Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Shirley Glessner of Junction City; wife, Debbie Glessner of Junction City; one daughter, Jasmine Dawn Glessner of Junction City; one son, Shane Ross Glessner of Junction City; one sister, Cathie Arlene Fultz and husband James of Junction City; one brother, Tyrone Shane Glessner and wife Sharon of Junction City; and one niece, Keely Arlene Fultz.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; Gilbert and Hilma Shane, and Roy and Maude Glessner, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Neal Bassett, Barton Beck, Shane Ross Glessner, Jason Salas, Kenton Tully, and Tony Upshaw.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyrone Shane Glessner, Steve Martinez, Micheal Martinez, and James Fultz.
