Sherman T. Cobb, 93, Junction City, Kansas passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Valley View Professional Care Center in Junction City. Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel is assisting the familiy with cremation services.
Sherman was born December 19, 1914, in Prescott, Arizona the son of James Wesley and Mary Margaret McNair Cobb.
Sherman served in the United States Army.
Sherman is survived by one daughter, Laurette A. Hammond of O'Fallon, Missouri. He is also survived by one brother, Samuel Cobb. Sherman is survived by two grandchildren, Reverend Mervyn L. Hammond, Jr. and LaTrisha D. Walls both living in Missouri. He is survived by nine great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
