Sharon Reed

Sharon Reed, 58, of Milford died on June 25, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue with Pastor James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Mass Hinitt Chapel. Cremation will take place following the services and a private committal service will be held at a later date at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been designated to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK 73101.

Sharon was born August 6, 1953 to Eugene and Mavis (Hanson) Parrish in Albert Lea, MN. She served in the U S Army from 1978 to 1982 and was honorably discharged as SGT.

She married Leroy Reed on November 16, 1981 and they had lived together in Milford since July of 1991. She was a member of the Kaupan Chapel on Fort Riley, KS.

She is survived by her husband Leroy of Milford, KS, her son Joshua Reed of Ft. Irwin, CA, two daughters, Jessica Reed and Jennifer Reed both of Milford, KS, step-son, Leroy Reed, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, step-daughter, Kay Stoudemire of Clinton, MS and three step-grandchildren, Jasmine Stoudemire, Earl Jr. Stoudemire and Kadell Stoudemire.
