Sharon M. Fletcher, 78, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her home in Junction City. Cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery with Pastor Will Ravenstein officiating. Immediately after the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Hall (201 E. 4th Street, Junction City). Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Wounded Warriors Project or to the Disabled American Veterans' Group in Junction City, Kansas.
Sharon was born June 16, 1945 in Fullerton, Nebraska the daughter of William and Mary Florence (Renshaw) Marshall.
Sharon graduated from Fullerton High School with the class of 1963 in Fullerton, Nebraska. She graduated from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. Sharon started working at the Geary County Courthouse in 1977. She worked her way up to become the Clerk for the Geary County District Court. She retired from that position in 2004. She was a member of the Eagle's Lodge, American Legion and the Elk's Lodge all of Junction City, Kansas.
She married the love of her life Rex Wayne Fletcher on September 14, 1968 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He passed away March 22, 2008.
Survivors include one daughter, Karla K. Fletcher of Junction City, Kansas; three step-sons, Kelly E. Fletcher, Kevin R. Fletcher and Kirk A. Fletcher; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and a host of life long friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rex and two brothers, James and Teddy.
