Shamone Denise Walker, 21, of Junction City, moved to her heavenly home Sunday, August 9, 2015, at the Geary Community Hospital. A funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, August 15, at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel located at 805 Caroline Ave. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 14, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to any organization for childhood disease and left in care of the funeral home.
Shamone was born September 2, 1993, at Fort Riley, KS the daughter of Curtis and Crystal (McBride) Walker, Jr.
Shamone attended schools in Junction City, KS and graduated from Junction City High School with the class of 2015. She enjoyed bowling with her classmates and family and going on family outings. She also enjoyed attending church at Morris Hill Chapel. Her hobbies included listening to classical soothing music and picture books.
Shamone is survived by her mother Crystal Walker of Junction City and her legal guardian/mother Patricia Brown of Junction City; two godfathers: William G. Brown, Jr.(Cassandra) and James Fleming, Sr.; two sisters: Shanitra and Shemeka Brown; two brothers: William Brown, III and Michael Brown; biological siblings: Kiara Walker, Tiffany Walker, LaShanda Mosley, Rozalyn Walker, Teasha Walker, Lareatha Walker, Aisha Walker, Tamia Walker, Curtis Walker, III and Lamar Walker. She is survived by one grandmother: Judith McBride; one foster grandmother: Robbie Moultrie and one god sister, Marche Fleming (Aron Randle) and god brother, James Fleming, Jr.
Shamone was preceded in death by her father Curtis Walker, Jr.; one brother Curzeil Walker and two sisters: Nykeysha Walker and Shanell Walker.
