Shalina Robinson, 85, of Junction City, died Dec. 5, 2014 at Geary Community Hospital. Shalina was born Nov. 11, 1929 in Nodena, Arkansas, the daughter of Langston & Essie (Madlock) Estell.
A Junction City resident since 1956, Shalina was a homemaker.
Survivors include: 4 sons, Daniel Robinson, Ft. Scott, Dan Robinson, Topeka, Napoleon Wright and David Wright, both of Junction City; 3 daughters, Velma Robinson, Hayward, CA, Aritholia Pratt and husband Virgil, Social Circle, GA, and Veronica Hicks and husband Marcus, Junction City; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vennia Autrey; a brother Walter Estell; and 2 sisters, Martha Travis and Bernia Ward.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, with Dr. Leonard Gray presiding. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, KS 66441.
