SFC (RET) Kenneth R. "Bear" Malone, 82, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 1:00 pm. to 3:00 pm. at Johnson Funeral Home. Military honors will take place at the funeral home at the end of the visitation.
He was born August 18, 1939, in Sullivan, IN the son of Frank and Alica (Fullford) Malone.
Mr. Malone served in the United States Army until his retirement. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam. After retiring from the United States Army, he worked as a plumber at Powell's Plumbing Company. He was a member of Sportsman Acres. He enjoyed teaching people about gun safety and his Native American heritage.
On November 16, 1973, he married Lori L. Wells at Columbia, SC.
Survivors include his wife Lori of the home in Junction City; one daughter, Malinda Malone of TN; one grandson, Kenneth "Cub" Nadwodny and one great-grandson, Elijah.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
